And so, the last of my concept sketches from Scraps comes into fruition. Yay! A young-ish Remus Lupin, reading by candlelight, drawn to project the feel of curling up with warm tea and good books on a cold, rainy night.

This was my favorite of the sketches, so naturally it gave me a hell of a time (there's an unfinished watercolor version of this somewhere on my sketchboard). This took ages to color - I'm not used to spending so much time with colored pencils, but the texture of the paper and all the layering of color called for it, and I can't say it was time wasted. :)

pencil -> Prismacolor & Spectracolor colored pencils, with some help from a PSC1210 and Photoshop.
Lupin belongs to JKR, but only I will give him lots of tea and books and cuddly sweaters and squashy armchairs, so there. :D

Aw, I loves the Remus! *huggles* I love his bookishness. You draw him so well, and the colours and shading make this scene cozy. I want to pull up my own chair and read the third book beside him. ^_^

:wave: Hi! Just stopped by to say thanks for the stalk! :D And when I saw your wonderful Lupin drawing I just had to comment as well! I love the composition and the pose and the way you've drawn Lupin. He looks so cute and comfy (and serious)-typically Lupin :heart: :nod: Good color pencil work too. It's not easy-I know! That's why I have so few in color but you did an excellent job! Kudos! :clap:

awww. lovely coloring, (great shadows!) and of course, darling remus looking deliciously remus-ish. i'm sure you made him very happy with that nice chair and hot tea:)
